I am absolutely passionate about light and the act of light itself.
At 16, I picked up a camera for the first time and set out to become a craftsman of the silver print, an acolyte of alchemical images.
Decades later, I’m still ecstatic each time I manage to capture a bit of the magic. Over the years, I have been a portraitist of people and places, a picture editor, and a master printer.
I studied architecture at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, where I developed a deep appreciation for form, structure, and space. Later, at Syracuse University, USA, I explored visual storytelling and interactive media. My photography both precedes and extends these fields — allowing me to fuse precision with emotion.
Dividing my time between New York, London, and New Delhi I take on portrait and travel commissions, teach workshops, and collaborate on multi-disciplinary projects.

The dimensions of the print canvases are given below along with prices. The printed image is smaller than the canvas, which usually has a 2inch border all around the image. Not all images are available in all sizes, please send me a note if you’d like more details.

I teach photography through interactive workshops. These range from camera skills, lighting control, studio skills, traditional film processing, hybrid analog-digital techniques, digital darkroom, to portfolio development.
The workshops are hands-on sessions accompanied by discussions on photography principles. Having taught at universities in USA and India and mastering classical photography, I believe the best way to learn photo skills is in small groups and with one-on-one coaching.

“ “The basic material of photographs is not intrinsically beautiful. It’s not like ivory or tapestry or bronze or oil on canvas. You’re not supposed to look at the thing, you’re supposed to look through it. It’s a window.” John Szarkowski
